Homeowners' pick for heating and cooling across the Arkansas Ozarks and Little Red River country

Gas Furnace Installation

We install gas furnaces in homes across Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Tennessee, replacing a furnace that has cracked, quit or become too expensive to keep repairing. Most homeowners call us after a heating repair turns up a failed heat exchanger, a control board that is no longer made, or a furnace that has been short cycling through a whole winter. Give us a call and we will come look at the furnace you have, measure the house, and tell you plainly whether replacement is the right move. If you ever smell gas, leave the building, call 911 or your gas utility, then call us.

What a gas furnace installation involves

We pull the old furnace out and set the new one in, then reconnect gas, venting, electrical and ductwork so the whole system works together. That means checking the gas line size, the flue or vent run, the condensate drain on a condensing unit, and the return air opening. In older hill-country houses we often find a furnace that was oversized for the space or vented into a chimney that needs relining. We handle that as part of the job rather than leaving it for later. Travel time is planned in, so you get a real arrival window.

What we check and what we install

Before we quote anything we measure the house, look at insulation, windows and duct condition, and size the furnace to the actual heat loss instead of copying the old nameplate BTU rating. We check static pressure and blower performance, because a new furnace on undersized ducts will run hot and short cycle. Installation includes a new thermostat if yours is failing, a proper filter rack, a fresh gas connection and shutoff, sealed vent connections, and a startup where we verify gas pressure, temperature rise and safety controls.

How we decide replacement is the right call

We look at three things: whether the heat exchanger is sound, whether parts are still available, and what the furnace has cost you over the last few winters. A cracked heat exchanger or a repeat carbon monoxide problem means the furnace comes out. So does a unit where the parts have been discontinued. If the furnace is basically healthy and the fault is a single igniter, flame sensor or motor, we will say so and do the furnace repair instead. Plenty of homes here also run propane or keep wood backup, and we factor that into the plan.

Gas Furnace Installation — quick answers

How long does a gas furnace installation take?

Most single furnace swaps run a full day. Add time if the venting needs rework, the gas line has to be resized, or ductwork at the furnace needs rebuilding. We tell you which applies before we start.

Can I put a gas furnace where I had propane, or the reverse?

Often yes, with the correct conversion parts and gas pressure setup, and only if the right fuel is actually available at the house. We check supply, line size and venting first, then confirm what your options are.

Do I need new ductwork with a new gas furnace?

Not always. We measure airflow and static pressure on the existing ducts. If they are too small or leaking badly, we repair or resize the problem sections rather than replacing everything in the house.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form with what the system is doing. Warm air, no air, short cycling, a smell, a breaker that keeps tripping. That detail helps us load the right parts before we roll.

  2. Step 2

    We schedule around travel

Hill-country routes take time, so we give you a realistic window instead of a guess. If you are on a long county road, we tell you that up front and keep you posted if the day shifts.

  3. Step 3

    Diagnose, then explain

We test the system, find the actual fault and walk you through what failed and what the repair involves. You decide before we start. If a part has to be ordered, we say when it lands.

Why homeowners call us

  • Older systems are normal herePlenty of homes on our routes run a heat pump from two decades back, a propane furnace and a wood stove for the cold snaps. We repair what you have rather than pushing you toward replacement on the first visit.
  • Heating and cooling bothSame crew handles air conditioning repair in summer and heating repair in winter. That means we know your system's history when the season flips, and we are not learning your ductwork from scratch in January.
  • We say what we do not knowIf a fault is intermittent, we tell you that instead of replacing parts on a hunch. Sometimes the honest answer is a monitoring period or a second visit when the weather brings the problem back.
  • Regional coverage, local paceWe cover Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Tennessee. Travel time is part of every job we quote, so you get a window that accounts for the drive rather than a promise that falls apart.
  • All major brands, gas & electricEvery major HVAC brand, gas and electric, handled by an independent crew.
  • Straight answersNot worth fixing? We say that out loud, and often it saves you the visit fee.
