Homeowners' pick for heating and cooling across the Arkansas Ozarks and Little Red River country

Mini-Split Repair — Book a Visit Today

We repair ductless mini-splits and multi-zone systems for homeowners across Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Tennessee, and the first step is a call so we can get a truck routed to you. Most failures come down to a few families: a clogged indoor coil or blower wheel, a failed outdoor fan or control board, low refrigerant charge from a loose flare connection, a blocked condensate drain, or a communication fault between one head and the outdoor unit. On a visit we check what the head is actually doing, read error codes off the board, test power and pressures, then tell you what it needs before we touch it. If a head is dripping on drywall, shut that zone off at the remote and call us.

The mini-split symptoms we hear most

  • One head blows warm while the others cool fine Zone valve, line-set or refrigerant distribution fault on that circuit
  • Water dripping down the wall under the indoor head Blocked or sagging condensate drain, dirty coil, or a failed pump
  • The unit blinks a code and shuts itself off Control board or communication error between indoor and outdoor units
  • Musty smell every time the head starts up Dirty blower wheel and coil, standing water in the drain pan
  • Outdoor unit hums but the fan never spins Failed fan motor, capacitor, or contactor at the condenser

Search for it as mini-split repair or ductless AC repair and you land in the same place: one visit, one written quote.

Safe things to check first

Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.

  • 1Check the remote or wall thermostat: fresh batteries, mode set to cool or heat, and the setpoint actually past room temperature.
  • 2Look at the breaker panel and any outdoor disconnect for a tripped breaker, and reset it once only. If it trips again, stop and call us.
  • 3Pull the washable filters out of each indoor head and rinse or replace them. Loaded filters are the single most common cause of weak airflow.
  • 4Clear leaves, grass clippings, mulch and snow back a couple of feet from the outdoor unit so it can breathe.

Mini-Split Repair — quick answers

Can you repair a mini-split, or do we have to replace the whole thing?

Most of the time we repair it. Fan motors, capacitors, control boards, drain pumps and leaking flare fittings are all serviceable. We recommend replacement when a compressor fails on an older system or parts are no longer available for that model.

Why is only one zone in my multi-zone system not working?

That usually points to something specific to that circuit: a stuck zone valve at the outdoor unit, a refrigerant leak at that head's connections, a bad indoor board, or a communication wire problem. The other heads working normally actually narrows it down for us.

How often do mini-splits need cleaning?

Filters get rinsed monthly during heavy use. The blower wheel and coil inside each head need a deeper cleaning periodically, and homes with pets or wood heat need it sooner. Buildup on that wheel cuts airflow and starts the musty smell homeowners notice first.

My mini-split heats poorly on the coldest mornings. Is it broken?

Not necessarily. Heat pumps lose capacity as outdoor temperatures drop, and a defrost cycle will blow cooler air briefly. If it never recovers, or your backup propane or wood heat is carrying the whole load, let us check charge and defrost operation.

How long does a repair visit take?

Plan on one to two hours for diagnosis and most common repairs. Coil and blower cleaning takes longer. If a part has to be ordered for your model, we will tell you that day and set a return trip rather than guess.

Do you work on brands you did not install?

Yes. We service ductless equipment regardless of who put it in, single head or multi-zone. Having the model and serial numbers off the indoor and outdoor labels ready when you call helps us bring the right parts on the first trip.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form with what the system is doing. Warm air, no air, short cycling, a smell, a breaker that keeps tripping. That detail helps us load the right parts before we roll.

  2. Step 2

    We schedule around travel

Hill-country routes take time, so we give you a realistic window instead of a guess. If you are on a long county road, we tell you that up front and keep you posted if the day shifts.

  3. Step 3

    Diagnose, then explain

We test the system, find the actual fault and walk you through what failed and what the repair involves. You decide before we start. If a part has to be ordered, we say when it lands.

Why homeowners call us

  • Older systems are normal herePlenty of homes on our routes run a heat pump from two decades back, a propane furnace and a wood stove for the cold snaps. We repair what you have rather than pushing you toward replacement on the first visit.
  • Heating and cooling bothSame crew handles air conditioning repair in summer and heating repair in winter. That means we know your system's history when the season flips, and we are not learning your ductwork from scratch in January.
  • We say what we do not knowIf a fault is intermittent, we tell you that instead of replacing parts on a hunch. Sometimes the honest answer is a monitoring period or a second visit when the weather brings the problem back.
  • Regional coverage, local paceWe cover Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Tennessee. Travel time is part of every job we quote, so you get a window that accounts for the drive rather than a promise that falls apart.
  • All major brands, gas & electricEvery major HVAC brand, gas and electric, handled by an independent crew.
  • Straight answersNot worth fixing? We say that out loud, and often it saves you the visit fee.
