The furnace symptoms we hear most
- The furnace blows but the air is cold Ignition failure, flame sensor fouling or a gas valve not opening
- It clicks a few times then goes quiet Ignitor or control board lockout after failed trial for ignition
- Heat runs for a minute, then shuts off, over and over Short cycling from a dirty flame sensor, limit switch trip or restricted airflow
- Thermostat is set but nothing happens at all Thermostat power, tripped breaker, blown low voltage fuse or door switch
- Loud squeal, rumble or bang when it fires Blower bearings, belt or delayed burner ignition that needs looked at soon
Search for it as furnace repair or heating repair and you land in the same place: one visit, one written quote.
Safe things to check first
Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.
- 1Check the thermostat: fresh batteries, set to Heat, and the setpoint a few degrees above the room temperature.
- 2Look at the breaker panel for a tripped furnace or air handler breaker, and reset it once. If it trips again, stop and call us.
- 3Pull the filter and hold it to a light. If you cannot see through it, replace it with the same size and see if airflow improves.
- 4Walk the house and confirm supply and return vents are open and not blocked by furniture or rugs.

How fast can you get to a no-heat call?
We schedule by route across the states we cover, and hill-country travel time is real, so we give you an honest window instead of a guess. Tell us the indoor temperature and whether anyone in the house is elderly or ill and we prioritize accordingly.
I smell gas near the furnace. What do I do?
Leave the building right away and take everyone with you. From outside, call 911 or your gas utility and let them shut off and clear the line. Do not flip switches or relight anything. Once they say it is safe, call us and we will inspect the furnace.
Is a flame sensor repair a real fix or a band aid?
Cleaning a fouled flame sensor is a legitimate repair and often restores normal operation. If the sensor is pitted or the burner is running dirty, we replace the sensor and look at why it fouled, because repeat lockouts usually point at combustion or venting.
My furnace is electric. Is that different work?
Yes. Electric furnace repair centers on heat strips, sequencers, contactors, the blower motor and the high limit. There is no combustion to check, but the current draw and wiring connections matter a lot, so we test under load rather than eyeball it.
Should I repair this furnace or replace it?
We give you the failed part, the condition of the heat exchanger and blower, and the age of the unit, then you decide. A single failed ignitor on a sound furnace is worth repairing. Repeat failures on a tired system are a different conversation.
Can you work on a furnace paired with wood or propane backup?
Yes, that mix is common on our routes. We check how the controls hand off between heat sources, confirm the furnace is not fighting a backup stove, and make sure venting and clearances are right for the setup you actually have.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call or fill in the quote form with what the system is doing. Warm air, no air, short cycling, a smell, a breaker that keeps tripping. That detail helps us load the right parts before we roll.
- Step 2
We schedule around travel
Hill-country routes take time, so we give you a realistic window instead of a guess. If you are on a long county road, we tell you that up front and keep you posted if the day shifts.
- Step 3
Diagnose, then explain
We test the system, find the actual fault and walk you through what failed and what the repair involves. You decide before we start. If a part has to be ordered, we say when it lands.

Why homeowners call us
- Older systems are normal herePlenty of homes on our routes run a heat pump from two decades back, a propane furnace and a wood stove for the cold snaps. We repair what you have rather than pushing you toward replacement on the first visit.
- Heating and cooling bothSame crew handles air conditioning repair in summer and heating repair in winter. That means we know your system's history when the season flips, and we are not learning your ductwork from scratch in January.
- We say what we do not knowIf a fault is intermittent, we tell you that instead of replacing parts on a hunch. Sometimes the honest answer is a monitoring period or a second visit when the weather brings the problem back.
- Regional coverage, local paceWe cover Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Tennessee. Travel time is part of every job we quote, so you get a window that accounts for the drive rather than a promise that falls apart.
- All major brands, gas & electricEvery major HVAC brand, gas and electric, handled by an independent crew.
- Straight answersNot worth fixing? We say that out loud, and often it saves you the visit fee.
